Dates for your diaries
On Saturday 10th December, we invite you to join in with our annual Christmassy Day! Blow your own glass baubles with the help of expert glass-blower Emsie Sharp. And Rachel Sargent’s art studio will be open; her unique lino cut prints make lovely Christmas gifts. As always, the cafe will be open from 10am to 4pm for a deliciously warming lunch, as will the shop, full of fabulous festive fancies. Bring friends and family, young and old, for what always proves to be a delightful day.
Then on Saturday 17th December, it is our honour to once again host a community production of The Nativity. The fun will begin around 3.30pm with mince pies and mulled delights, with the show starting at 4pm as the shop and cafe shut up. The cosy show will take place in the farmyard (weather permitting), so wrap up warm and bring a chair if you’d like. This really will be a community occasion, featuring all your favourite friendly faces from around the village. Expect laughs, drama, and a good old sing-a-long. Free entry.
We are now taking Christmas orders! To ensure you get all that you need during the Christmas week, fill in a short order form and we’ll get all your shopping ready for you to collect. Last orders for Christmas order forms is on 17th December, to be collected on either on 22nd, 23rd, or 24th. You can pick up a form in the shop, or you can download it on our website and email it in to us (details below). Where stocks are limited, you will be served on a first-come-first-served basis, so get your orders in as soon as possible! The shop will still be open for any last minute purchases on 22nd and 23rd as normal, and will be open on Christmas Eve from 10am to 2pm.
We also are taking orders for organic turkeys and geese from Angel Cottage Organics. To place an order, give us a call, or pop into the shop. Birds will be available for collection on 23rd and 24th December.
Everyone here at Gold Hill Organic Farm would like to thank you, our neighbours and friends, for your loyalty and support over the past year. We hope that the events and services mentioned above simply serve to enhance what I’m sure will be a special and holy time for you this Christmastide. Have a merry Christmas, and a happy new year, and we’ll see you when we reopen on Thursday 5th January.
